Fun tips for kids in the kitchen!

With the school year winding down and summer around the corner, now is a great time for your family to make memories that will last a lifetime. So, why not have some family fun while making nutritious food choices? We have some great ways to get your kids in the kitchen, making eggcellent and nutritious meals!

Before starting, make sure kids wash their hands thoroughly with soap and warm water. Read through the directions and assemble all the ingredients and utensils that they will need.

Once you’re ready to cook, kids should keep these three keys in mind:
1. Keep all perishable foods, such as eggs, in the refrigerator when you’re not cooking or eating them.
2. Ask an adult to remove hot pans from the stove, oven or microwave. Always keep
potholders handy.
3. Be sure to clean up after you have finished. Promptly refrigerate any leftovers.
